While in past years focus was on cost-savings in respect to materials, insulators and apparatus employed, the present trend sees Total Cost of Ownership and overall positive Life-Cycle Assessment as more important than product and material cost. Moreover, TSOs and OEMs now verify their supply chains by considering the CO2 footprint as well as other non-technical supplier conditions.
