Transmission utilities face challenges to successfully consider a step change adoption of an EGLA solution where such a solution has never been applied before. A case study for a proposed ‘greenfield’ application of EGLAs to a long 330 kV AC double circuit radial transmission line in Australia offers key lessons to guide other utilities who are considering adoption of this technology.
