The 2019 INMR WORLD CONGRESS will offer complimentary shuttle service to beautiful Sabino Canyon – only a 10 minute bus ride from the Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa, where this event takes place. This shuttle will operate Sunday, Oct. 20 from 09:00 to 16:00, departing every 30 minutes, and will bring attendees to the canyon and then back to the hotel after their visit.
Sabino Canyon is a significant canyon located in the Santa Catalina Mountains and the Coronado National Forest north of Tucson and provides a place to walk, jog, hike or ride bicycles. Minutes away from the desert are large waterfalls along Sabino Creek with minor bridges constructed over them. Wildlife in the canyon includes deer, javelina, skunks, tortoises, rattlesnakes and mountain lions.
Among the visual treats for visitors to this unique habitat are the magnificent saguaro cactus that dot the mountains. The saguaro is a columnar cactus that grows notable branches, usually referred to as arms. As many as 25 arms can grow on a single plant. They are slow growing and routinely live to 150 or even 200 years old.
