The 2011 INMR WORLD CONGRESS ON INSULATORS,
ARRESTERS, BUSHINGS & CABLE ACCESSORIES
will be one of the most valuable technical and
commercial conferences of the year
in the field of transmission and distribution.
The program comprises a three-day conference with some 75 different technical presentations by expertsfrom across the globe. These papers will cover such important topics as: optimizing linedesign, improving reliability, reducing maintenance costs and incorporating into the network the latest technologies for overhead lines, substations and cable systems.
In addition, therewill be a three-day exhibition where some 60 of the world’s leading suppliers of network components and materials, testing equipment and other products will showcase their products and services.
The event will begin with a special technical site visit on Sunday, April 17 in the early afternoon to visit the 765 kV Shin-Ansung Substation located just outside Seoul. T
his visit will be organized and hosted by the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), one of the world’s best-managed power supply utilities and also one of its largest.
Shin-Ansung is Asia’s first ever UHV GIS substation and the site of one of the world’s first applications of composite bushings at 800 kV. It also features something one does not normally find at such an installation – a center devoted to education about UHV as well as a large technical exhibition area where most of the line components used on the KEPCO network are displayed.
Buses will leave from the Grand Hyatt Hotel at around 13:00 and return delegates at about 17:30 – well in advance of the Welcome Reception for Delegates that starts at 20:00.
