Sunday, May 10 from 20:00 to 21:00:
Invitation to Welcome Reception (Creta Maris Hotel)
Meet other delegates and their spouses at a special welcome reception that will take place on a beautiful outdoor terrace overlooking the Mediterranean. A wide range of beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be offered as well as a selection of canapés (hot and cold). There will also be musical entertainment.

Monday, May 11 from 09:00 to 17:00
A Visit to Eastern Crete
This exclusive guided bus tour starts with a visit of the world-famous Panaghia Kera – an ancient Byzantine church built in the 13th century and renowned for its magnificent surviving wall frescos.
Afterwards, the tour will go on to visit the nearby charming mountain village of Kritsa, home to many local Cretan artists and their arts and crafts boutiques.
In the early afternoon, a 20 minute boat trip from the seaside town of Elounda will bring participants to the old Venetian fortress of Spinalonga, a small island with an exceptionally interesting history. This will be followed by lunch at Elounda.
In the afternoon, the tour will continue on to the delightful Mediterranean town of Agios Nikolaos for more sightseeing and shopping.
The bus will return to the Creta Maris Hotel at approx. 17:00.

Tuesday, May 12 from 09:00 to 18:00
A Visit to Western Crete
The first stop on this beautiful bus excursion will be the charming village of Fodele, a quite and sleepy place nestled amongst orange groves and plane trees and just 25 km west of the Cretan capital city of Iraklion. In the village square under a plane tree, which is over one thousand years old, there is a memorial to the great painter Domenikos Theotokopoulos, better known as El Greco, who was born here in 1541.

Afterwards, the tour drives on to Chania, where participants will visit the city’s unique old town with its many Turkish and Venetian influences. This will includes a visit to the famous Municipal Market (called the Agora) where lunch will be served.

On the way back, the tour will stop for a sightseeing tour in Rethymnon, a small Mediterranean town with its Renaissance architecture, old Venetian fortress and museums.
The bus will return to the Creta Maris at approx. 18:00.
